Technology plays a huge part in our daily lives and can help simplify our day to day routines. In business all data and information produced is managed by technology. Data management is the process of ingesting, storing, organising and maintaining the data created and collected by an organisation. As a team leader, you have a key role to play in managing that information and the people who enter it into your IT systems. You are responsible for the quality of that information, the accuracy of it and making sure it gets to the right people safely. Figures, documents and files are used by other people in the organisation to make decisions. Mistakes in data inputting can cause issues and complications. If you are a leader, you must be knowledgeable on the information, how your systems work and the processes in place. Once the session is completed, you will be able to define the meaning of technology and data management, identify the benefits and challenges a leader might face in introducing technology to the workplace and establish strategies for data management.
